A Potential Next-Door Expansion
A Vision for 560 Hilgard
Hillel at UCLA is exploring a potential acquisition that could expand what we offer students and the wider Jewish community.
What an expansion could make possible
Hillel at UCLA is exploring the potential acquisition of the small church property next door at 560 Hilgard Avenue. If acquired and approved, the additional property could create more room for High Holy Days and community meals, parking, co-working and incubation, security, and partnerships or community-focused programs.
The added capacity could extend outreach to Jewish students from other campuses and to communities in West Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Malibu while protecting the space and resources dedicated to UCLA students.
A contingent campaign
A proposed $20 million capital campaign is under consideration. Both the campaign and the expansion depend on a completed, approved property acquisition. The property has not been presented here as purchased, and no capital campaign is presented here as launched.
